Former New York City Mayor Former New York City Mayor David Dinkins was elected Chairman of the board of Directors. Mr. Dinkins stated, ''it is an honor to serve as Chairman of such a distinguished foundation. I hope that the formation of the foundation will galvanize people of good will to work together to overcome our racial divisions.'' Norman Siegel was selected as Treasurer of the Foundation and said, ''I hope the Amadou Diallo Foundation will become an inspiration for people all across the world.'' Alma Rangel was elected as secretary of the Foundation. The following people were also elected to the Board of Directors: John Feerick, Dean of Foldham Law School, Peter Norton, businessman, Roscoe Brown, educator, Kathy Sharpton, community activist, and Bobo Diallo, uncle of Amadou Diallo.
