The Amadou Diallo Mentorship Program The Foundation is committed to recruiting a group of mentors who will work with the Amadou Diallo Foundation Scholars and with the winners of the Amadou Diallo scholarships. The mentors will provide technical support and will also assist the Scholars to disseminate their work to the larger community of scholars, activists, advocates, policy analysts, and researchers who work in the field of community development. Mentors will be recruited from the ranks of university professors, researchers, and professionals who are well established in their respective fields and who are committed to aid in the professional growth and development of students receiving support from the Foundation. Mentors will develop "learning contracts" with the Scholars who will outline the terms and conditions of the mentorship, its goals and objectives, as well as the frequency with which mentors and Scholars will meet. As in the case with all mentorship programs, the Foundation expects to conduct formal evaluation studies of those mentorships so that they may become effective vehicles for mentors and scholars alike. |
